Casino Royale was the first "Bond" book written by Ian Fleming. This production is only BASED on the book. This film was produced by Charles K. Feldman and Jerry Bresler. The list of directors on this film is impressive: John Huston, Ken Hughes, Val Guest, Robert Parrish, and Joe McGrath.
SCHMIRSH is killing all the spies in the world,
"M" and representatives from Russia, France, and the U.S. bring Sir James Bond out of retirement to solve the mystery. "M" and the other representatives are killed and Bond assumes the role as head of "M" division. Little Jimmy Bond is busy in the Caribbean being useless.
Rumor has it that a higher up SCHMIRSH character (La Chief) is a master at bacarat, so Evelyn Tremble (also a bacarat wiz) is recruited to portray James Bond and is outfitted by a very strange "Q' division.
By the time La Chief sits to play bacarat in the Casino Royale, there are 3 Bonds at the table, including one female.
Back in London, a space craft kidnaps Bond's daughter and takes her to Casino Royale. Bond (the real one) follows and soon faces Dr. Noah, the leader of SCHMIRSH. It turns out that Noah is none other than little Jimmy Bond, who seems to hate his uncle.
The end is just as crazy with U.S. Cavalry, Indians (American), French Foriegn Legionaires, 2 seals, etc. all claiming to be James Bond.
